Concert in Newcastle Train Station

A cold December day saw DUPO take the short 15 minute train to Newcastle to give an open-air performance for the public in Newcastle train station. During the busy festive season, the orchestra played several festive excerpts including selections from Tchaikovsky’s ‘The Nutcracker’. After the performance, we had further community involvement and fun as we got members of the public to try conducting the orchestra which proved to be an immense success in lifting spirits in the bitter winter cold.
