Meet our Conductors for the 2025/26 Season

  • Anthony Sutch is our Symphony Orchestra conductor for the 2025/26 season


    Anthony was the DUOS Chamber conductor 24/25 and the Castle Orchestra conductor 23/24 & 24/25, as well as playing violin in a number of other Durham orchestras. He has been taught by Tim Burke and attended masterclasses with Marcus Twitchin, John Longstaff, Alice Farnham, Dr James Weeks, and Professor John Traill.

  • Timothy Tsang is our Palatinate Ensemble Conductor for the 2025/26 season.

    Timothy began his studies in conducting at age 16 under Dr. Henry Shek. Since then, he has participated in multiple conducting workshops and masterclasses, under the guidance of conductors like Günter Neuhold and Martin Sieghart, and with orchestras such as the Prague Philharmonia and the Berlin Sinfonietta. Timothy has also appeared as guest conductor with a range of ensembles and orchestras, including the Hong Kong Bravissimo Wind Ensemble, and The Museed. Timothy is currently the Music Director of VICI Harmonia, a fusion music ensemble in London, and is returning for a second year as conductor of the DU Concert Band.
